Can plasma exchange improve outcomes for your GBS patients?

This meta-analysis is an update of two previously published reviews assessing the efficacy and safety of plasma exchange (PLEX) for the treatment of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). It includes results of randomized and quasi-randomized trials of PLEX versus sham exchange or supportive treatment for the treatment of GBS. The analysis included six trials and a total of 649 patients.
